Arapū is an educational app developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to allow children to explore the Māori alphabet, Te Arapū Māori. Designed as a companion app to the book Te Kete Kupu (The Māori Dictionary), the app uses simple mini-games to promote the names, sounds and shapes of the letters of the Māori alphabet. It has an emphasis on learning alphabetical order, promoting quick recall and application of alphabetical order, towards early dictionary skills.
